I'm trying to add a radar chart in my Power BI report but I think it isn't working well I'd like to change de order of the "Category" field. Go to Solution. I have a similar question, except my 'category' variable is hour of day as a calculated column that extracts 'hour' from a SQL datetime stamp using the FORMAT dax function.
Currently the radar chart displays hours in 24hr format, with the 00hrs at the bottom, and goes anticlockwise. What I really want is the 00 to start at the top and go to 01, 02 etc. I can't see a way to do this in the custom radar chart - perhaps there's another custom visual that does what I want?
In Tableau, there was a similar chart referred to as a 'Coxcomb' chart, but it was pretty complex to construct. In terms or ordering your categories, you don't do this in the visual itself.Custom Visual: Liquid Fill Gauge in Power BI
You do this to the table that stores your category data. For example, let's say you have a table for days of the week. It has an Id column and a Name column Monday, Tuesday, etc. Go to Data, select your table, select the Name column, then go to the Modeling tab and select Sort.

It is assumed that Power BI Desktop is installed on the development machine. The first step is to download the radar chart from hereas it is not available by default in Power BI Desktop.
A radar chart is ideal for visually comparing similarities between different entities, relationships and proportions in a dataset. After downloading the radar chart control, open Power BI Desktop.

This will open a dialog box to select the visualization package file, to add the visualization in Power BI. Select the downloaded file and it should add the radar chart to Power BI Desktop visualizations gallery. Click on the radar chart and that would add it on the reports layout.
Enlarge the control to occupy the screen space and it should look as shown below. Now that we have the visualization, it is time to populate data. Click on the Get Data menu and select Excel as shown below. Navigate and point to the Excel file that you would have downloaded earlier. After you select it, you would be able to preview the data as shown below. Select Sheet1 and click on Edit button.

So in the photo this is what i am aiming for, the redded out slicers are names but as i change the name i want the radar chart to change to the corresponding player ect. I managed to do this with the values in the right hand side and the photo by changing interactions ect but wanted to know if the selected slicers could be put in the categories? Go to Solution. Thanks for the reply Maggie maybe this will make more sense. The redded out slicers are the names of the participants Carlton and Stephen.
I want the player names to be put in categories and then interact with the two slicers so I would be able to do a direct comparison on the radar chart with Carlton and Stephen for the values put into the y axis but then if I change slicer 1 to manny now there is a comparison between manny and Stephen in the radar chart.
The values on the right are columns from a table this part is irrelevant but i put it there to show that at the moment I am comparing the participants by creating a copy of the player column and then changing the interactions between the slicers.
So if I change slicer 1 to another player all the values and picture would change to the corresponding player. Ideally like in the picture if I could put the slicer 1 and 2 in the categories field that would be perfect but I don't think it works and was hoping somebody had a work around.

I've a question: for example if there is another field in the Sheet1 table, for example [Team], if i filter by the team, the two slicer [player display name1] and [player display name2] don't change because they aren't erlated. All the attriubutes are exactly how I want them and the radar chart is perfect the only problem now is that I cant get it to interact with the image custom visual.
